In order to finalize the selection of beneficiaries for various activities under two projects of Holistic Agriculture Development Plan (HADP), viz “Reorienting Priorities: Self-Sufficiency in Mutton Production in J&K” and “Promotion Of Wool/Pelt Processing And Marketing”, the District Level Committee (DLC) headed by District Magistrate Ganderbal, Shyambir was conducted today here at Mini-Secretariat Ganderbal.
The meeting was attended by District heads of agriculture and allied departments, District Lead Bank Manager, General Manager, DIC, representative from Co-operative department, representative from Rural development and Panchayati Raj department, representative from Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Ganderbal and two nominated progressive farmers.
A total of 32 beneficiaries were selected under various components of the above two projects pertaining to the Sheep Husbandry sector under HADP.
The selection was made in a transparent manner strictly in compliance to the guidelines scheme wherein due representation was given to Women, Schedule Tribe and Chopan communities.
