The post-mortem examination of former model Divya Pahuja, 27, whose body was recovered from the Bhakra canal near Jakhal in Fatehabad district yesterday, revealed she had suffered a bullet injury in her head, a National media reported.
A medical board of four doctors of the Maharaja Agrasen Medical College, Agroha, conducted the post-mortem examination today. The body was later handed over to relatives of the deceased.
The investigation officer, ASI Raj Kumar of the Jakhal police station, said they had completed the proceedings under Section 174 of the CrPC and handed over the body to her relatives. He said the doctors had sent the viscera to the forensic laboratory at Madhuban for further examination.
Meanwhile, sources in the medical college said the bullet was recovered from the head and that they had compiled the detailed report and submitted the bullet and the report to the forensic laboratory for further examination.
Divya Pahuja, who was a model and had been a girlfriend of gangster Sandeep Gadoli, who was killed in an encounter in 2016, was recently in a live-in relationship with the main accused Abhijeet Singh of Gurugram. She was shot dead in a hotel owned by Singh following a tiff over some ‘obscene photos’ on January 2. The main accused along with his accomplices dumped the body in the Bhakra canal near Patiala.
