Divisional Level Inter-District Volleyball Tournament under SVEEP held at Nagri Kupwara

The Inter-District Divisional level Volleyball Tournament, organized under Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) initiative, culminated in an electrifying final match at BHSS Nagri Malpora today.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation, with more than 2,000 spectators cheering on the players. The tournament was graced by the presence of the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kupwara, M Rouf Rehman, along with other district officers, including Nodal Officer SVEEP (Chief Education Officer) Kupwara, Abdul Majeed Dar, and District Youth Services and Sports Officer (DYSSO), among others.
The event aimed at promoting both sports and the importance of electoral participation, with a special focus on youth engagement in both areas.
Addressing the gathering, the ADC said that as much as we need our young people to excel in sports, we equally need them to be responsible citizens. Participating in the voting process is a fundamental duty. It is essential that everyone, especially the youth, actively engages in shaping the future of the nation. He urged the participants to vote in the upcoming election.
The volleyball tournament’s final match was a nail-biting affair, with teams from various districts vying for the coveted championship. After a fierce contest, the team from District Kupwara emerged victorious, defeating their opponents, The Anantnag Volleyball team, by a scoreline of 3:2. The match was a testament to the skill, determination, and sportsmanship displayed by the players.
Nodal Officer SVEEP emphasized the importance of the SVEEP initiative in encouraging electoral participation and appealed to the participants to actively participate in the upcoming election.
