District Police Kishtwar observed “Thana Divas” across various police stations in the district, including Kishtwar, Chatroo, Atholi, Dachhan, and warwan. The event was organized under the supervision of SSP Kishtwar, Shri Abdul Qayoom-JKPS, and was coordinated by the respective SDPOs and SHOs of the police stations.
The “Thana Divas” program was attended by a diverse group of participants, including members of the civil society, shopkeeper associations, and other respected individuals from the concerned areas. During these meetings, participants raised various issues, which were attentively listened to by the police officers. The officers assured the public that police-related concerns would be addressed on a priority basis. Additionally, issues requiring civil administration intervention would be promptly forwarded for resolution, with feedback provided to the participants.
In his message, SSP Kishtwar, Shri Abdul Qayoom-JKPS, welcomed the participants and appealed for their continued cooperation with the police and administration in maintaining law and order. He urged the public to assist in identifying anti-national and anti-social elements, as well as drug peddlers in the area. The participants were also informed about the rising trend of cybercrime and the methods employed by cybercriminals.
This initiative reflects the J&K Police’s commitment to strengthening community policing and ensuring the safety and security of the district’s residents.
