Director RDD tours B’la; takes holistic review of dev. works under different schemes

Adopt collaborative approach; achieve fiscal prudence through productive utilisation of available resources: Director to Officers. In order to take an appraisal of physical and financial progress of various developmental works being executed by the Rural Development Department (RDD), Director RDD Kashmir, Khalid Majeed today conducted an extensive tour of Baramulla district.
During the visit, the Director chaired a meeting at Dak Bungalow and took an appraisal of various development works undertaken in different sponsored schemes and programmes.
At the outset, Assistant Commissioner Development Baramulla Gulzar Ahmad Khan presented the brief socio-economic profile of the district through Power Point Presentation. He briefed the chair about the current status of different works spearheaded by RDD Baramulla under District CAPEX besides presenting a detailed sketch about the implementation of various centrally sponsored schemes including ADP, CD & Panchayat and other related schemes.
During the meeting, the Director discussed comprehensively the financial progress that needs to be achieved in the current financial year. He also took a detailed review of Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) formulation, finalization of Panchayat Awards among other matters and emphasized to achieve saturation in all the underlined indicators and parameters.
Reiterating upon all the concerned authorities to achieve the principle of fiscal prudence through productive utilisation of all available resources, the Director stressed to adopt coordinated and integrated approach with all the relevant stakeholders and strive to realise the ambition of inclusiveness.
He also directed to follow all the envisaged fiscal guidelines and codal formalities in letter and spirit and refrain from any kind of financial deviation.
Furthermore, the Director stressed on the concerned officers/officials to take all possible measures to accelerate the pace of the ongoing works for their time-bound completion and directed for regular monitoring of works through field Inspections. He added that any kind of laxity would not be tolerated besides directing to maintain the quality specifications and the standard of work.
Khalid further directed to keep a close liaison and coordination with all the stakeholders so that a new system of implementation of developmental activities is ensured in a hassle free manner and people can realize the actual and intended benefits of work. He added to adopt a collaborative mechanism and sensitise all the stakeholders who can subsequently play their part in the developmental journey of rural areas.
Among other Additional District Development Commissioner Baramulla Aijaz Abdullah Saraf, BDOs, AEEs, AEs and other concerned functionaries attended the meeting.
