The Director of Agriculture Kashmir, Chowdhury Mohammad Iqbal today visited Quality Control labs at Lalmandi Srinagar.
During the visit, the Director toured different sections of the pesticide quality control lab, fertilizers quality control lab and bio-fertilizer quality control lab where he was briefed by the concerned officers concerning different proceedings.
Speaking to the concerned officers, the Director of Agriculture impressed upon them to adopt modern technologies, equipment and gadgets so that the quality control standards could be upheld at different levels of testing the inputs.
The Director was also given a brief presentation regarding the working of different quality control labs.
Earlier, the Director of Agriculture visited the saffron fields of Pampore and took stock of various ongoing agriculture activities. He spoke to several farmers and assured them of every possible technical guidance and support from the department.
