Digital J&K Week celebrations in full swing across Ramban

Digital education is a basic skill for the people including children and elders for availing benefits of people oriented services and schemes without visiting the Government offices and other services providers, said Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mussarat Islam while addressing a gathering on 2nd day of Digital J&K Week 2023 at Ramban.
A series of activities under Digital J&K Week 2023 were also organized at Sub-divisional, Tehsil, Block and institution level which witnessed a huge public participation.
President MC Ramban, Sunita Sumbria, ADC, Harbans Lal Sharma, ARC, Giasul Haq, CPO, Dr Kasturi Lal, GM DIC, Ravinder Anand, ACD, Ashok Katoch, CEO, DSWO, CHO, CAHO, DSHO, CAO, DSEO, LDM, Executive Engineers, DIO NIC, Bankers, PRIs and other officers attended the function.
At the outset, the Deputy Commissioner along with other senior officers inspected stalls setup by the different departments to sensitize the people about their online services besides providing handholding to them.
Inspiring the students to promote advantages of online services across the society, the Deputy Commissioner said that “Digital J&K week will showcase citizen-centric IT initiatives that have helped in bringing about greater transparency in governance and ease of living for citizens. Digi-Mela in the district will generate awareness about digital solutions and new technologies, he added.
The DC said that the objective of celebrating Digital J&K Week is to popularize and promote the e-Services made available by the Government for the general masses. He said that more than 600 district, block and tehsil level online services are available to provide hassle free and corruption free services to the people.
The Deputy Commissioner informed that a 3-day mega awareness event is being organized at district headquarter Ramban and similar mega events will be organized in all subdivisions including Banihal, Ramsoo and Gool on September 4th, 5th and 6th respectively.
Earlier ADC, ACR, CPO, DIO NIC and other officers sensitized the people about On-Line services being provided by their respective departments by demonstrating and hands-on training.
A cultural program was also presented by the students and participants.
