DIET Kargil today organized the first session of Janbhagidari event aimed at promoting the importance of Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) skills among the local community and schools under NEP 2020 at HS Lankore.
Under Janbhagidari, a series of programs would be organized by the Education Dept. across different schools, focusing on its first theme, ensuring Foundational Literacy and Numeracy.
The inaugural session of the event was held today at Govt. HS Lankore in which staff, students, parents, and community members participated.
The session included lectures on FLN and NEP, 2020 by DIET faculty members, including Principal DIET, Abdul Qayoom, Dr Willayat Ali, Abdullah Shah and Mohd Yahya.
Besides the Headmaster of HS Lankore, Badurun Nissa and Showkat Ali were also among those who spoke on the occasion.
The students of the Foundational Level displayed interactive activities on language accusation and numeracy guided by Nusrat Fatima, ECCE teacher.
Series of events under Janbhagidari will be continued for the next 15 days, with more lectures, interactive sessions and activities aimed at promoting awareness and understanding of FLN skills and their significance in education.
The program also highlights the significance of collaboration between educational institutions and the community in promoting FLN and achieving better learning outcomes.
