Desh Bhagat University Student Wins First Prize in Chef Competition

Desh Bhagat University proudly announces the outstanding achievement of its students from the School of Hotel Management & Tourism. The talented students secured the first prize in the Bakery Chef competition at the prestigious Everest Culinary Challenge season-5, hosted by the Chandigarh Group of Colleges for the Punjab region.

Competing against formidable opponents, four teams from Desh Bhagat University showcased their culinary prowess. The teams comprised Kajal and Kasak, Luxmi Kumari and Aditi, Jaspreet and Arspreet, and Khsudeep and Mansi Garg. While Kajal and Kasak, along with Luxmi Kumari and Aditi, participated in the culinary segment, Jaspreet and Arspreet, as well as Khsudeep and Mansi Garg, represented their skills in the bakery events.

The duo of Khsuhdeep Kaur and Mansi Garg emerged victorious, clinching the esteemed first prize for their exemplary performance. They astounded the judges and fellow participants with their masterful creation of a delectable cake.

The success doesn’t halt here. The grand finale of season 5 is slated to take place in Mumbai in March, gathering winners from all regions to compete for the ultimate title.

The winners were honored by the Chancellor, Dr. Zora Singh, and Dr. Virinder Singh, Advisor to the Chancellor, in a felicitation ceremony. Dr. Zora Singh extended his heartfelt congratulations to the victorious students, encouraging them to continue participating in future competitions. Accompanying the students throughout the competition was Chef Rinku Singh, whose guidance and support contributed significantly to their triumph.
