Delhi’s Finance Minister Kailash Gahlot presented a budget of 78,800 crores for 2023-24. He said that the per capita income of Delhi has become 2.6 times more than the national level.
Finance Minister of Delhi’s Aam Aadmi Party government, Kailash Gahlot presented the budget in the Delhi Assembly. This time a huge budget of Rs 78 thousand 800 crore has been presented, which is 8.69 percent more than last year. In the budget, along with the announcement of giving 21 thousand crores to Metro, flyover, MCD, many schemes including Mohalla bus service were announced. The Finance Minister said that the per capita income of Delhi has become 2.6 times more than the national level. He said that a total of 3126 crores is proposed for the scheme related to roads and bridges in Delhi.
Finance Minister presented a budget of 78,800 crores for 2023-24
Delhi Government’s Finance Minister Kailash Gahlot presented the budget 2023-24 of 78,800 crores in the assembly. He said that I would have been happier if former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia had presented this budget. He is not only like my elder but also my elder brother. I am presenting this budget in the same spirit when Ram went to exile and Bharat worked by keeping his statue on the throne.
Arvind Kejriwal said to the opposition – stop fighting everyday
Before the presentation of the budget in Delhi Assembly, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said that it is not right to stop every work of Delhi. Now people have started understanding and raising their voice. Please stop fighting every day. Come forward and let’s develop Delhi together, serve the people. There is nothing left in fighting.
Delhi Metro will continue to expand
Presenting the Delhi Budget, Finance Minister Kailash Gehlot said that after the construction of Delhi Metro started in 1998, till 2015 the length of its route coverage was 193 km. Whereas, in the last 8 years, the length of the metro network has increased to 390 km. Apart from this, the number of metro stations has now increased to 286. He said that the expansion of Delhi Metro will continue.
21 thousand crore budget to MCD to end the mountains of garbage
Finance Minister Kailash Gehlot said that the three garbage mountains of Delhi have been like a black spot on the image of the capital. Work will be done with MCD to completely eliminate these mountains of garbage. A budget of 21 thousand crores has been kept for this.
28 flyovers completed, more to be built
Presenting the budget, the Finance Minister said that the Delhi government has completed many major infra projects in 8 years. Among these, the second phase of Signature Bridge, Bara Pulah has been completed, the work of Ashram flyover and underpass has been completed. He said that I am proud to say that in 8 years PWD has succeeded in constructing 28 flyovers and elevated roads. He said that 722 crores would be spent for the new flyovers. Three double-decker flyovers are being built, where metro will run above and vehicles will run below. 321 crore will be spent for these. A total of 3126 crore is proposed for the scheme related to roads and bridges in Delhi.
Delhi average per capita income is the highest
The Finance Minister said that the per capita income of Delhi is 2.6 times more than the national level. It ranks third among all states. For 8 years, the government has tried to improve the economy of Delhi. The average income of a common resident of Delhi is the highest in the country. He said that per capita income of Delhi has increased by 14.8 percent. This is the highest in the whole country.
