The Regional Meteorological Centre in Delhi has forecasted that there will be ongoing light to moderate intensity rain accompanied by thunderstorms in Delhi and its neighboring areas.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) shared on a social media platform, X, that “light to moderate intensity rain with thunderstorms will continue to occur over and adjoining areas of entire Delhi and NCR (including Loni Dehat, Hindon AF Station, Bahadurgarh, Ghaziabad, Indirapuram, Chhapraula, Noida, Dadri, Gurugram, Faridabad, Manesar, Ballabhgarh).”
As per the IMD statement, Delhi experienced a maximum temperature of 32 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 24 degrees Celsius in the last 24 hours.
During the night between Saturday and Sunday, various parts of Delhi received light rainfall. Areas like Safdarjung, the airport, Rajghat, Vasant Kunj, Munirka, and Narela received intermittent light rain from Saturday night into early Sunday morning.
The weather forecast predicts more rainfall for Delhi over the next couple of days, providing relief from the humid conditions that have prevailed in the national capital recently.
The IMD has also projected rain in several districts of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh, specifying areas like Mattanhail, Jhajjar, Farukhnagar, Kosali (Haryana), and Sikandrabad, Bulandshahar, Shikarpur, Pahasu, Debai, Narora, Atrauli, Iglas, Raya, Hathras, Mathura, Jalesar, Sadabad, Agra, and Jajau (U.P.) within the next two hours.
