On Thursday morning, the Delhi Police arrested a 30-year-old man in connection with the stabbing of his 42-year-old employer, a jeweller, in the Karol Bagh area of central Delhi on the previous night.

Sanjay Kumar Sain, the deputy commissioner of police (central), stated that a PCR call was received at the Karol Bagh station around 10.45 pm on Wednesday, reporting a stabbing incident on the third floor of a house in the Beadanpura area.

Upon arrival at the scene, the police found the victim, identified as Pratap Jadhav, lying in a pool of blood with multiple stab wounds. The deceased was originally from Ghoti village in the Sangli district of Maharashtra. Forensic teams were subsequently called in to inspect the crime scene.

Further investigation revealed that the victim was involved in the business of supplying gold to jewellers in the vicinity. A sum of ₹39.50 lakh in cash was recovered from the location. CCTV footage analyzed by the police showed four suspects near the crime scene. Two of them, identified as Ganesh Kumar and Sudeep Kamble, were determined to be employees of the deceased. Kamble, a resident of Tikota village in the Vijayput district of Karnataka, has been arrested, while the other three suspects remain at large. Intensive efforts are underway to apprehend the remaining individuals.

During the interrogation, Kamble confessed to conspiring to kill Jadhav, stating that the victim used to frequently scold all his employees. As a result, a case of culpable homicide amounting to murder under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code has been registered at Karol Bagh police station.
