Delhi Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj and Mayor Shelly Oberoi were spotted taking a ride in an e-rickshaw in the capital city on Monday. Their purpose was to oversee the preparations for the upcoming G20 summit, and they were accompanied by both police personnel and a gathering of spectators. During the ride, they engaged in conversation, appearing to relish the experience.

Scheduled to occur on September 9 and 10, the G20 summit is set to take place in Delhi. Leaders hailing from G20 member countries will converge in the city for the summit, during which a G20 Leaders’ Declaration will be adopted as the event concludes.

Delhi airport operator DIAL announced on Monday its collaboration with several government departments, including the home ministry, in order to ensure the seamless reception of guests arriving for the Summit. A DIAL spokesperson informed PTI that a team of senior officials will supervise the arrival and departure operations for the G20 delegates.

Raj Niwas officials disclosed that approximately 6.75 lakh pots of flowering plants will adorn the specified roads in Delhi for the upcoming G20 Summit. Locations such as Sardar Patel Marg, Mother Teresa Crescent, Teen Murti Marg, Dhaula Kuan-IGI Airport Road, Palam Technical Area, India Gate C-Hexagon, Mandi House, Akbar Road roundabout, Delhi Gate, Rajghat, and the ITPO have already been embellished with plants.

Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena also evaluated the preparations on Sunday, stating, “We have revamped 61 roads in Delhi where the leaders will be traveling. Plantation work is complete, roads and sidewalks have been repaired and cleaned. Everything is progressing well.”

In his recent monthly radio broadcast “Mann Ki Baat,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized India’s readiness to host the G20 Summit, highlighting that “September will showcase India’s potential to the world.” He reiterated that India is fully equipped to host the G20 Leaders Summit next month in Delhi, with the event expected to be the largest gathering in the history of the G20 Summit.
