Residents of Delhi and the national capital region (NCR) woke up to a pleasant morning on Tuesday after light rain and thundershowers were witnessed late on Monday night. Owing to the light rain, the mercury dropped to 25 degrees Celsius in the national capital.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had predicted that thunderstorms with light intensity rain and gusty winds (speed of 30-50 Km/h) would occur over and adjoining areas of entire Delhi and NCR (Loni Dehat, Hindon AF Station, Ghaziabad, Indirapuram, Chhapraula, Noida, Dadri, Greater Noida, Faridabad, Ballabhgarh) Sohana, Palwal… during the next 2 hours.

According to the seven-day forecast by the Regional Meteorological Department (RMC), Delhi is likely to witness mainly clear skies for the next 2 days. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 40 and 28 degrees Celsius respectively.

IMD has predicted that light-intensity rain/drizzle would occur over and adjoining areas of Kasganj, Ganjdundwara, Etah, and Mainpuri (U.P) during the next 2 hours.
