Delhi may see brief respite from heatwave with light rain likely today

Some respite from the scorching heatwave conditions is expected in Delhi as light rainfall and thunderstorms have been predicted for Sunday. This morning, the city recorded a minimum temperature of 30.4 degrees Celsius.

After experiencing a very dry May, Delhiites can expect respite as light rain and thunderstorms are predicted on Sunday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.

This morning, the national capital recorded a minimum temperature of 30.4 degrees Celsius, 3.5 notches above the season’s average. The maximum temperature is likely to settle around 43 degrees Celsius today.

On Saturday, the maximum temperature was 44.2 degrees Celsius, 4.2 notches above the season’s average.
