Delhi man orders product from AliExpress, receives it after 4 years

AliExpress is now banned in India. However, till sometime ago, it was a go-to website for the Indian techies, primarily, as the popular online marketplace sold cheap electronics products. Some of the devices that were not available in India, could be ordered from China through AliExpress. A Delhi-based man shared an interesting anecdote about a product he ordered from the website nearly four years ago, which is the pre-covid era. While he thought he would never get it, the parcel arrived just in the nick of time, albeit four years later.

A Delhi-based techie named Nitin Agarwal recently took to social media to share an extraordinary incident. He revealed that a product he had ordered from AliExpress, an online retail service owned by Ali Baba, in 2019 had finally been delivered to him after a long wait of four years.
In a Twitter post, Agarwal expressed his surprise and encouraged others never to lose hope. He mentioned that AliExpress is now banned in India, but he had made the purchase before the ban was imposed.

Agarwal’s tweet read, “Never lose hope! So, I ordered this from Ali Express (now banned in India) back in 2019, and the parcel was delivered today.” While Agarwal did not disclose the details of the product or the reason for the delay, his story serves as a unique anecdote about the unpredictability of online shopping experiences.

Agrawal’s tweet got popular on Twitter and prompted reactions from other Twitter users as well. One of them wrote that he also placed an order for something in 2019. “I ordered 2 products in 2019 December. So I can hope it might get delivered someday,” one user wrote. “How? my many stuck which i ordered around 2017-19 which i paid already for it,” another user wrote.
