Delhi CM Kejriwal, Mann among AAP’s 40-star campaigners for J&K Polls

Srinagar, Aug 25: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann are among the 40 star campaigners listed by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for the upcoming Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections. The party submitted the list to the Election Commission of India.
The announcement was made by a party spokesman at the AAP headquarters in Delhi, who assured the media in Srinagar that the party is contesting the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections with full strength. He emphasized that, unlike other parties, AAP is committed to fulfilling the promises made in its manifesto. He highlighted that the people of Jammu and Kashmir deserve access to free electricity and clean drinking water, given the region’s abundant hydroelectric and water resources.
This election marks AAP’s first foray into the Jammu and Kashmir electoral landscape, as the party did not contest previous elections in the region, including the recent Lok Sabha polls.
The list of star campaigners also includes Kejriwal’s wife, Sunita Kejriwal, as well as MPs Sanjay Singh, Raghav Chadha, and Minister Atishi. Others on the list are Er. Javaid Ahmad Bhat, Deeba Khan, S S Shingari, Dr. Sandeep Pathak, Pankaj Gupta, and N D Gupta, among others.
Meanwhile, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) J&K has announced its first list of candidates for the upcoming Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections in 7 Constituencies.
This marks the party’s initial foray into the electoral landscape of the region, as AAM seeks to expand its presence beyond its strongholds in Delhi and Punjab.
In a post on X, Party Spokesman said In view of the upcoming assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir, Aam Aadmi Party announced its seven candidates that includes Fayaz Ahmed Sofi from Pulwama, Muddasir Hassan from Rajpora, Sheikh Fida Hussain from Devasr, Mohsin Shafkat Mir from Dooru, Mehraj Din Malik from Doda, Yasir Shafi Matto from Doda West and Mudassir Azmat Mir from Banihal.
