Deepika Padukone Unveils Fierce Cop Look in ‘Singham Again’

Deepika Padukone has unveiled her role in the upcoming film “Singham Again.” In the pictures shared on Instagram, she is seen in a police uniform, wielding a gun. Referring to her character as “Shakti Shetty,” Deepika showcased a fierce and determined look. Her husband, Ranveer Singh, affectionately called her ‘Lady Singham.’ One striking image captures her confidently holding a revolver near her face, while another shows her in a powerful stance, gripping a man’s hair and placing the gun in his mouth against a backdrop of chaos and destruction.

Ranveer Singh, reacting to the images, exclaimed, “Aag laga degi (She will set it on fire),” accompanied by fire emojis. Janhvi Kapoor and Alia Bhatt also responded with exploding head and fire emojis, expressing their awe.

Ranveer later shared Deepika’s posters on his own Instagram, jubilantly declaring, “AALI RE AALI… LADY SINGHAM AALI !!!!! (Fire emojis) SHAKTI SHETTY has arrived in the Cop-verse!!!!!”

Reports from August had hinted at Deepika’s significant role in the film. She is set to portray the first female cop in the Rohit Shetty Universe, with a character akin to that of Ajay Devgn’s sister. Her role is described as more than a mere cameo, requiring 35-40 days of shooting.

Director Rohit Shetty confirmed Deepika’s involvement in the project, marking her entry into his cop-centric cinematic universe. The duo previously collaborated on the 2019 film “Chennai Express” and recently worked together on the song “Current Laga” from Shetty’s upcoming project “Cirkus.”
