The death toll in Bihar’s Chhapra due to the consumption of spurious liquor has mounted to 66. The incident was initially reported on Wednesday. The sale and consumption of alcohol was banned in Bihar by the Nitish Kumar government in April 2016.
As the death toll is feared to increase, Lok Janshakti Party (R) supremo and MP Chirag Paswan demanded the registering of an FIR against Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for the Chapra hooch tragedy.
