District Development Commissioner Udhampur, Krittika Jyotsna today conducted an exhaustive tour of Basantgarh, Kulwanta and Ramnagar blocks to inspect the progress of work on PMGSY & RDD sector projects and other developmental activities.
En-route, the DDC inspected the ongoing execution of work on Ramnagar to Basantgarh, Khaned road, construction of Bridge at Khaned and several other link roads being executed by PWD, and PMGSY departments. The DDC asked the executing agencies to ensure completion of the roads with in stipulated time and without compromising the quality of work. She said that good roads and bridges act as life line for the growth of economy in an area.
During the visit, the DDC chaired a meeting with officers/ officials of Rural Development Department of three blocks and took detailed review of Physical and financial status of the ongoing developmental works and other flagship schemes etc.
The DDC stressed on the concerned officers/officials to take all possible measures to accelerate the pace of the ongoing works for their time-bound completion.
The BDOs were asked to ensure close monitoring and follow-up for completion of works within stipulated time.
