District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, today chaired a meeting of concerned officers to review the progress of Education Sector works taken up under District Capex budget and SAMAGRA Shiksha program in the district.
During the meeting, the DDC sought a detailed report from the concerned officers about the physical and financial progress of the projects. The officers briefed the DDC about the status of the same.
While reviewing the status of the works under SAMAGRA Shiksha, the meeting was informed that 165 works were approved for FY 2022-23 at an estimated cost of Rs 1882.43 lacs.
While taking note of the status of these works, the DDC directed to issue tenders of the works at the earliest for their timely completion on the ground within the shortest possible time.
Taking stock of the progress on the ongoing works under the District Capex Budget, the DDC emphasized the need to expedite the pace of the progress. He also stressed the importance of maintaining quality while executing the work on the projects for their longevity. The DDC made it clear that no laxity would be tolerated in this regard.
He also directed the concerned officers to resolve any bottlenecks hampering the developmental projects in a timely manner to ensure smooth execution of works.
Officers who attended the meeting were Chief Planning Officer, Mohammad Khurshid; Chief Education Officer, Sultana Kouser and concerned officer from SAMAGRA Shiksha.
