DDC Rajouri inspects progress of work on BGBSU Road

District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, visited the BGBSU Road and inspected the onsite progress of the work being executed by the PWD Department.
The project had been stalled for a long time due to certain bottlenecks, but after completing the necessary codal formalities, the work has been restarted. However, there are still some issues impeding the smooth execution of the project.
Accompanied by a team of officers, District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, visited the road and removed the bottlenecks hindering the speedy completion of the project. The total length of the road is 8 KM, connecting Sheema Chowk to BGSBU University.
The total cost of the project is Rs 26 crore, and upon completion, it will benefit around 10,000 people, including students and faculty of BGBSU, by providing better connectivity.
The Executive Engineer PWD (R&B) informed that the work of Wet Mix Macadamization and GSB is in progress. The Deputy Commissioner asked the ExEn Jal Shakti Rajouri and PDD Rajouri to shift the utilities within the shortest possible time.
He also urged the concerned officers to expedite the progress on the project and ensure that it is completed as soon as possible, so that the general public can reap its benefits.
He further emphasized the importance of quality while executing the work and warned that any laxity in this regard will not be tolerated.
