District Development Commissioner Inder Jeet chaired a meeting to review Jal Jeevan Mission schemes in the district today.
Superintending Engineer Rajinder K Sharma presented works proposed under the mission and other ongoing works in the district. Out of 128 approved works aimed to provide water to every home, 109 schemes have been allotted and 19 are being processed. All works are expected to be completed by June 2023.
The District Development Commissioner reviewed progress and directed field engineers to ensure their presence at headquarters and mark biometric attendance twice a day. Engineers were also directed to ensure works are executed as per standard specifications and design criteria ensuring structural stability. Executive Engineer was directed to lodge FIR against engineers/contractors for substandard work at sites under JJM.
The field engineers were directed to speed up execution of works to ensure all 128 borewells are completed by March 2023. The DDC also reviewed NRDWP schemes and directed the Executive Engineer PHE division Poonch to install machinery at all stations within one week.
Others who attended included Executive Engineer Riaz Ahmad, AEEs Ashaq Hussain Rather, Abdul Majid, Abdul Gafoor, Amarpreet Singh and Bal Krishan Sharma besides all AEs and Junior Engineers of PHE division Poonch.
