Deputy Commission/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve today chaired a meeting to discuss the issues of Aadhaar Linked Birth Registration (ALBR) in hospitals through the Civil Registration System (CRS) in Kargil.
The meeting was attended by ADC Kargil, Ghulam Mohi-Ud-Din Wani, CMO Kargil, Dr Munawar Hussain Wazir, MS District Hospital Kargil, Dr Liyaqat Ali, BMOs from different Blocks, representative of Municipal Committee Kargil. District Manager, UIDI, Taif Mir attended the meeting virtually.
During the meeting, creation of the Aadhaar Enrolment ID (EID) for infants was also discussed in detail. The CMO informed the chair about the status of ALBR and creation of Aadhaar EID.
DC Kargil directed the line department to upload data within two hours after birth of a child and issue certificate within 48 hours. He also directed the officers to cover all associated hospitals, CHCs, PHCs under the program.
The meeting was also briefed about the process and benefits of the ALBR and CRS saying that the programs would quickly provide a unique identification to newborns.
Pertinently, ALBR is the Aadhaar-linked birth registration at the time of the birth of a child and its integration with the national platform of CRS would make the process of birth registrations instant and hassle-free.
