Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Musarrat Islam today handed over specially designed motorized tricycles to ten specially-abled persons here at District administrative complex.
The Motorized Tricycles have been provided by J&K State Rehabilitation Council.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Harbans Lal, CPO Dr. Kasturi LAl, Dy. DEO, Lal Chand, DSWO, Rahul Gupta, and various other senior officers were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC praised the Social Welfare Department for ensuring saturation of welfare schemes of the department and benefiting the poor, underprivileged and other weaker sections.
He informed that J&K State Rehabilitation Council will provide more motorized tricycles to 40 specially-abled persons in the coming days.
He said that the District Administration is committed to provide every possible help to the needy and specially-abled persons. He said the department has distributed the same type of motorized tricycles and other helping equipment to the needy in the past also.
The Beneficiaries hailed the District Administration and Social Welfare Department for the initiative.
