To review the performance of Banks under Annual Credit Plan (ACP) of FY:2022-23 & Government Sponsored Cases for the January to March Quarter of FY 2022-23, JK Bank Lead Bank Office Poonch today convened District Level review Committee (DLRC) & DCC meetings, which was chaired by District Development Commissioner (DDC), Yasin M. Choudhary here at Dakbunglow Poonch.
Among others Dy. Director Employment, Mohammad Rafiq, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Dr. S. M. Younis; Chief Horticulture Officer, Sanjeev Kumar; V.A.S. of Sheep Husbandry Department, Dr. Ishfaq Ahmed; District Officer KVIB, Mohammad Aziz Khan; District Agriculture Officer (Extn), Munshi Ram; Regional Manager JKGB, Gagandeep Singh; Manager Cluster Officer JK Bank Poonch, Ajaz Latif; Director JK Bank RSETI, Vikas Padha, District Coordinators of all Banks & District Officers of Government Departments were present in the meeting.
Lead District Manager, Ashutosh Raj Koul informed the house that under ACP, Banks operating in the District have made total credit disbursement of Rs.636.48 Crores against an annual target of Rs.710.46 Crores registering an achievement of 90%. Out of these Rs.266.70 Cr have been disbursed in Priority Sector against annual target of Rs.560.64 Crores achieving 48% of target, besides Rs.369.78 Crores in Non-priority sector sector against annual target of Rs. 149.81 Crores thereby achieving 247% of the target.
It was also informed to the house that the total deposits & advances in the District were at Rs.3498.19 Crores & Rs.1809.12 Crores as on 31.03.2023 as against Rs.3377.37 Crores & Rs.1622.50 Crores for the corresponding period of last financial year thus showing a YoY growth of 3.58% & 11.50% respectively.
The CD Ratio of the District as on 31-03-2023 stood at 51.72% which was at 48.04% on 31.03.2022 showing a YoY growth of 7.66 %.
During the meeting, the progress of banks under Govt. Sponsored schemes like PMEGP, JKREGP, NRLM, HANDLOOM & HANDICRAFTS SC/ST/OBC, PMFME SCHEME, PM SVANidhi, Progress under Ultra High Density Apple Plantation Scheme and Mission Youth was also reviewed by the DDC.
Chairman DLRC impressed upon all the stakeholders to create an enabling environment, where youth can think beyond Government Jobs and for this to happen avenues for gainful self employment have to be strengthened. He also stressed upon banks to expand the network of ATM’s and bank branches in rural and unbanked areas of the district.
Since employment generation is a major challenge, Chairman DLRC further advised all the participants to go an extra mile and show empathy towards the unemployed youth in guiding them towards the path of prosperity and self-sufficiency through various credit facilities tailored in accordance to their entrepreneurial aspirations.
The Chairman DLRC directed all the stakeholders to improve performance under priority sector lending so that results are visible on ground.
