DC Leh discusses preparation of Action Pan under Vibrant Village Programme

Leh: Deputy Commissioner Leh, Shrikant Suse, chaired a meeting to discuss the preparation of the Action Plan under Vibrant Village Programme in the presence of Executive Councillor, Rural Development, Tashi Namgyal.

DC Leh directed all sectoral/departmental heads to focus on livelihood-generating activities enhancing rural employment and to submit a suitable proposal within three days.

The Vibrant Village Programme, a centrally sponsored scheme, aims for the comprehensive development of border villages. In Ladakh, the Changthang region proposed under Vibrant Village Programme covers 35 revenue villages in Durbuk and Nyoma sub-division.

Councillor Chushul constituency; Chief Planning Officer, Leh; Chief Medical Officer, Leh; Chief Education Officer, Leh; Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Leh; District Sheep Husbandry Officer, Leh; Deputy Registrar Cooperatives, Leh; Project Director, LREDA; District National Rural Livelihood Mission staff and other concerned sectoral officials were also present during the meeting
