The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Dr.Doifode Sagar Dattatray today handed-over cheques to the fire victims of remote Nagsari village of Kalaroos.
Extending his sympathies with the fire victims, the DC assured them of all possible support from the District Administration.
He handed over relief cheques among the victims and assured that all arrangements shall be made for the victims and proper assessment of damages including livestock shall be carried out for due compensation.
Meanwhile, the DC urged people to ensure all fire safety measures are taken for safety and security of life and property.
The fire victims of Nagsari Kalaroos extended their special thanks to the District Administration Kupwara especially to the DC for providing them timely assistance and other essential commodities.
On the intervening night of Feb 11 and 12 at Nagsari Kalaroos 7 residential houses belonging to vulnerable Gujjar tribals were completely damaged in a fire incident.
