The District Development Commissioner (DDC), Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan today chaired the meeting of District Level Review Committee (DLRC) at Meeting Hall of DC Office Complex here to review the performance of line departments and banks with regard to saturation of different government schemes in the district.
Addressing the meeting, the DDC emphasized upon the concerned officers and bankers for financial inclusion and saturation of various centrally sponsored schemes so that the people especially marginalized sections of the community get benefited at large.
She directed all the banks and the sponsoring agencies to work with greater coordination and cohesion to achieve the goals and targets of financial inclusion, besides, generation of employment for unemployed youth of the district.
The DDC further directed banks for early disposal of financial assistance cases and instructed line departments to sponsor cases to respective bank branches strictly as per service area, within the stipulated time frame.
While highlighting the overall performance for FY 2024-25 under annual district credit plan, Lead District Manager, Kupwara, Tariq Ahmad Jan informed the house that achievements under ACP 2024-25 for the district stood at Rs.581 Crores during the first Quarter which constitutes 21% against target of Rs.1637 Crores. The achievements under priority sector advances were to the tune of Rs.243 Crores against target of Rs.1411 Crore for ACP 2024-25 which constitutes 18% while as under non-priority sector the achievements are to the tune of Rs.338 Crores against target of Rs.226 Crores which constitutes 148%.
Rs.93.01 crore have been disbursed by the banks amongst 6067 beneficiaries under PM Mudra Yojana scheme with J&K Bank being the main contributor in credit disbursement.
Officers from line departments, representatives from different banks and other concerned were present in the meeting.
