DC Kishtwar reviews performance of Revenue Department

Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Dr. Devansh Yadav today chaired a meeting of revenue officers here to review the performance of the revenue department.
The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Varunjeet Singh Charak; SDM Paddar, Dr Rishi Kumar Sharma all Tehsildars and other concerned officials.
During the meeting, detailed review regarding different deliverables was taken and necessary directions were issued to the concerned Officers.
While reviewing the progress in the appointment of lambardar and chowkidars in different panchayats,the Deputy commissioner exhorted the Tehsildars to expedite the process and complete the filling of all the positions of the said revenue functionaries by February 25, 2023 across the district Kishtwar without any fail.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner also took the status of implementation of the Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme and Jamabandi writing in the district.
He stressed upon the revenue officials to adopt target driven approach to ensure the time bound completion of the process.
Meanwhile, he also directed the Tehsildars to ensure the effective implementation of revenue department e-services under Public Service Guarantee Act and take stringent action against the defaulters for dereliction of their duties irrespective of rank and file, besides to impose penalties.
The status of the infrastructural gaps in various revenue offices were also taken in the meeting, wherein ACR, concerned SDMs and Tehsildars were directed to fast track the construction, up-gradation and repair of various departmental buildings besides ensure adequate infrastructure for smooth functioning of their offices.
Several other related issues were also discussed in the meeting and DC Kishtwar assured for the immediate resolution of these issues in consultation with higher ups.
He also stressed upon all the Tehsildars to coordinate with the respective BDOs and complete the verification of the PMAY houses under their respective jurisdictions.
Speaking on the occasion Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar said that effective public service and grievance redressal mechanism shall be placed at the grassroots level on priority so that the public does not suffer anymore.
