Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Dr Devansh Yadav today presided over the Weekly Block Diwas programme at Tourism Reception Centre (TRC) Mughal Maidan wherein he listened to the grievances of people besides distributed Sports Kits among the Youth Clubs of 15 Panchayats of the far flung block.
Among others ACD Kishtwar Atul Dutt Sharma,DSWO Zubair Ahmed, ALC Kishtwar Amit Kumar, Tehsildar Kishtwar Umar Muneeb, Tehsildar Mughal Maidan Nayeem Iqbal Sheikh, Tehsildar Chatroo Suman Ji Sharma, BDO Mughal Maidan Saima Ramzan, SHO Chatroo Parvaiz Ahmed, locals, Youth club members and the field functionaries of various departments besides PRIs were present in the programme.
At the outset, DC Kishtwar alongwith ACD, BDO Mughal Maidan, Tehsildar Mughal Maidan, PRIs and District officers handed over the Sports Kits purchased by Block Development Office among the Youth club members of all 15 Panchayats of the block including panchayat Bhata, Dadpeth, Drubeel, Horna, Kuchhal A, Kuchhal B, Kuchhal C, Loidhar A, Loidhar B, Mulchiter, Tagood, Rahalthal, Sigdhi A, Sigdhi B1 and Sigdhi B2.
Later, local PRIs highlighted various issues and demanded up-gradation and development of infrastructure to improve public services.
The main issues raised by PRIs were effective implementation of online attendance of MGNREGA Job Card holders, fencing of TRC Mughal Maidan, functioning of Sanitary Complex, starting of works on Bridges at required points.
The PRIs also appreciated the functioning of various departments including Tehsil office and RDD in the Block Mughal Maidan for providing prompt public services. Several individuals also projected their grievances on the occasion.
The DC Kishtwar, after listening to their issues patiently, assured redressal of the same in a time bound manner. He said that their issues will be taken up at concerned quarters for immediate resolution. He assured that all possible efforts will be made to ensure encumbrance free implementation of attendance of Job Card holders in a time bound manner.
The DC Kishtwar encouraged PRIs to strengthen Youth Clubs and identify space for developing the play grounds in their respective Panchayats. He also urged people and PRIs to participate in the ongoing Panchayat Electoral Roll Revision-2023 started for registration of new and left out electors.
Responding to the demand for early release of compensation for structures removed for execution of NH-244 project, the DC informed that 7 compensation cases have been approved after proper verification of documents of legal owners.
The Deputy Commissioner also impressed upon the PRIs to identify sanitary workers in each panchayat who will be provided Rs 5000 per month for door to door collection of plastic garbage. He informed that shredder machines will be installed in each Panchayat for further processing of collected plastic waste which will be helpful in generating revenue for the Panchayats.
He also apprised the people that the District Administration will be going to conduct panchayat/village level redressal camps in near future with an aim to reach out the people at their door steps.
Earlier, Officers and field functionaries informed the locals about their departmental schemes including online services, Mission Youth Schemes and urged people to come forward and avail these schemes.
Pamphlets of Mission Youth Schemes and age certificates for availing Social Welfare Department schemes were also distributed in the programme.
