DC Kathua reviews implementation of JJM, PHE sector schemes

Deputy Commissioner Kathua Rahul Pandey today chaired a meeting of concerned officers to review the progress achieved in the implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission in the district.
At the outset, Superintendent Engineer Hydraulic, Sanjeev Malhotra apprised the Deputy Commissioner about the financial and physical progress achieved under JJM in the district.
The DC directed SE Hydraulic to prioritize the works taken up under JJM so that all the schemes can be completed within set timelines.
While reviewing the physical and financial progress of PHE sector schemes approved under District CAPEX plan, Languishing scheme, DDC, BDC and PRI grants etc, the DC directed the concerned to maintain timelines to saturate all components besides stressing on early removal of bottlenecks for timely completion of all works.
Underlining the need to achieve the financial progress within the set timeline, the DC called upon the engineers to speed up the works so as to rule out any chance of carrying forward any financial liabilities.
Regarding the non feasible works, the DC directed the concerned to foreclose the same.
The DC also took a detailed review of all ongoing projects under Ground Water, Irrigation, and Flood Control and laid thrust on completing all projects within the stipulated time frame.
XEN PHE, Vikram Dogra, Chief Planning Officer, Uttam Singh and Engineers of Irrigation, Flood Control, and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
