A District Level Committee headed by Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rahul Pandey today met to finalise the cases for self-employment under NCDC Central Loan Scheme of Yuva Sahakar and under NHBM scheme here at DC Office Complex.
Reviewing implementation and monitoring of NCDC Central Loan scheme, the committee gave approval to the proposal received from department of Cooperative Societies Kathua and it was decided to forward the approved proposal to the Registrar Cooperative Societies J&K for consideration/sanctioning of the financial assistance under NCDC central loan scheme.
The proposal worth Rs 7.8 Lac for Micro Food Processing unit for spices (Turmeric) was approved in favour of M/S Sherpur Farmers Agri-Cooperative Marketing Limited as per the laid down criteria of the scheme.
Underlining the need to engage youth in self employment avenues, the DC urged the stakeholder departments to create awareness and extend proper handling to make them self reliant. He said departments should make concerted efforts to encourage the youth to avail benefits under the cooperative business ventures.
