Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil today visited Hardas village of Kargil and reviewed the work progress of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) works.
Superintending Engineer, PHE, I&FC, Kargil, Maqbool Hussain, Exen PHE Kargil, Muhammad Hassan, AEE, PHE, Furman Ali and other officers and officials accompanied the Deputy Commissioner during the visit.
During the visit, DC Kargil first visited Kharol area of Hardas where he reviewed the status of the ongoing construction work of dug well under water supply scheme of the JJM. The DC asked about its completion and directed the concerned officials to complete it at the earliest.
The villagers of Kharol requested the DC for macdamization of the existing road for smooth connectivity in the area. The DC gave a patient hearing to the requests and assured early redressal of the same.
Locals of the area also requested for the perseverance of historical inscriptions in order to save culture values of early civilization in Ladakh.
The Deputy Commissioner also visited Thang Hardas and reviewed the construction work of dug well of Solar Lift Irrigation. The DC appreciated the construction and directed to complete the work before May end.
The locals of Thang Hardas requested for community link road with length of 2.5 kilometres from Harka Bridge to Gund Bridge. The villagers requested to keep the construction of this road in the current year plan. The DC assured the villagers that all the issues would be resolved in due course of time.
