To review the functioning and patient care scenario in the district Hospital Ramban, a meeting of Governing body of Rogi Kalyan Samiti was held today under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Ramban Mussarat Islam, who is also the Chairman of Rogi Kalyan Samiti (RKS).
The meeting was attended by Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Kamal Zadu, Medical Superintendent District Hospital, Dr Mohd. Rafi, CEO Dev Anand, DSWO Rahul Gupta and other RKS members.
Detailed discussions were held on various issues which included repair of Ambulances, Approval of engagement of sanitary workers, security guards, Minor repair & renovation, electrification, sanitation, aluminum work, Emergency procurement, Procurement of laboratory consumables and other lab materials etc.
Medical Superintendent DH gave a detailed powerpoint presentation regarding the achievements and requirements of the hospital and submitted the agenda point for approval before the members.
The DC took a detailed review of the functioning and fund flow of the District Hospital Ramban besides the progress of the institution under different indicators. A threadbare discussion was held on the measures required with respect to the up-gradation of the Hospital.
The meeting was informed about various issues and requirements for the augmentation of health infrastructure and overall advancement of the healthcare system in the Hospital.
During the meeting the Samiti approved the Minor repair & renovation including white wash, electrification, sanitation, etc of District Hospital, Ramban.
The Committee also approved procurement of material required for daily use within Hospital premises besides purchase emergency & Life saving drugs and disposables, surgical items, laboratory reagents, dental material on emergency basis in the interest of patient care.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned to follow the objectives as envisaged in RKS guidelines and stressed for resource generation and strengthening transparent mechanism in utilization of funds. He directed to purchase all items through the Gem portal.
The DC assured all possible support from the Administration for infrastructure development of the Hospital to further improve patient care in the hospital.
During the meeting, DC stressed to increase the institutional deliveries by way of proper awareness and strengthening of health care facilities in primary health centers and common health centers.
The DC urged upon health functionaries to come up to the expectation of the patients and focus on quality assurance, accessible, affordable healthcare in the District.
