The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr. Owais Ahmed on Friday convened a meeting of concerned Officers to review the physical and financial status of Jal Jeevan Mission of the district.
The meeting discussed threadbare physical and financial progress of various JJM Works, authorization for issuance of allotment for various works under JJM and Tendering, Execution and issuance of LOIs for JJM works.
The concerned officers apprised the chair that 120 schemes have been proposed under JJM including works of 17 Borewells, 38 Rapid Sand Filtration plants, 16 Slow Sand Filtration plants, 22 overhead tanks and 91 grounded service Reservoirs
The chair was apprised that out of 129 works of PHE Division Bandipora 113 works have been allotted and 05 works are completed and out of 27 works of special sub division Gurez, 15 works have been allotted and one has been completed.
Dr. Owais on the occasion said that JJM is aimed to provide a functional Household Tap Connection to all households and directed all the concerned officers to speed up the projects under JJM so that the works can be completed within the stipulated time.
He also stressed on regular monitoring of quality and progress on all allotted works.
The meeting was attended by ADDC, Ali Afsar Khan; Joint Director Planning, Imtiyaz Ahmad and committee members of JJM in the district.
