World No.8 Daniil Medvedev, on Saturday, February 25, defeated former World No.1 Andy Murray in straight sets in the final of the Qatar Open at Centre Court. Medvedev won the match 6-4, 6-4 in one hour and 47 minutes.
Medvedev also became the first player to win back-to-back ATP titles in the year 2023. The 27-year-old came into the tournament after winning the ATP Rotterdam by beating Jannik Sinner in the final.
