In an poignant incident, CRPF Jawans of 180BN aided a groom amid heavy snowfall and challenging weather conditions to reach to his bride in Kashmir’s Tral area of Pulwama district yesterday afternoon.
The CRPF personnel responded to the distress call of a groom and his companions, who got stuck midway when they were heading towards bride’s house.
Mukhtar Ahmed Gujjar, the groom, told reporters,”I belong to Bran Pathri and today was my wedding. Due to snowfall the road was blocked, we called 180BN of CRPF. The jawans came and rescued us and took us to our destination as we had to go a remote place”.
“We are jawans of CRPF 180BN. This groom called us and told us they’re stuck amid snowfall and can’t go to the bride’s place. We informed our senior officer and took our vehicles out and reached to him with great difficulty and rescued them”, a CRPF jawan of 180BN told media.
