An Inspector of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) was martyred in yet another terror attack on security forces at village Chill in Dudu area of Udhampur district this afternoon while the terrorists who ambushed the patrol party of paramilitary force managed to escape. However, security forces have launched massive searches in the area to track down the terrorists.Officials said a CRPF team of 187 battalion was carrying out patrolling in Chill area when it was attacked by the hiding terrorists around 3.30 pm today. The CRPF jawans retaliated resulting into an encounter. In the gun battle CRPF Inspector Kuldeep Kumar of Haryana attained martyrdom.
Enforcement of Army, CRPF, police and SOG teams rushed to the spot and launched searches in the area. However, no fresh contact has been established with the terrorists who were believed to be three to four in numbers.
Body of the braveheart has been shifted to the hospital for completion of legal formalities and will be sent to the martyr’s native town in Haryana after wreath laying ceremony.
In a post on X, the CRPF said brave Inspector Kuldeep Kumar attained martyrdom while fighting with the terrorists.
