Crackdown on illegal mining across Haryana’s 11 districts
The Haryana State Enforcement Bureau (HSEB) executed a series of targeted raids across 11 districts in the state on the intervening night of December 11 and 12, a National media outlet reported.
During the raids, 358 vehicles were checked of which 52 were confiscated. These included 22 dumpers, five JCBs/excavators and tractor-trailers besides overloaded vehicles being used for illegal mining activities.
Home Minister Anil Vij said 51 teams, comprising 480 police personnel of all ranks, carried out synchronised raids by setting up 30 checkpoints and 66 mobile parties.
The raids were carried out in Panchkula, Ambala, Yamunanagar, Karnal, Panipat, Sonepat, Faridabad, Palwal, Nuh, Bhiwani and Charkhi Dadri districts.
