Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) Commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal was questioned by Enforcement Directorate officials on Monday in connection with alleged irregularities in awarding of contracts for Covid care centres.
The ED had sent a notice to Iqbal Singh Chahal’s office seeking details on the BMC contract awarded to Lifeline Hospital Management Services (LHMS) in which Sujit Patkar, an alleged aide of Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut, is also a partner.
