Continuing their war against drug smuggling the Vijaypur police yesterday nabbed an interstate smuggler couple with Heroin in Vijaypur area of J&K Samba district.
According to the report, acting on specific information a team of Vijaypur police post under the jurisdiction of Samba district laid a naka at AIIMS and stopped a couple coming on a bike bearing registration PB06AF6614,who were coming from Kathua.
During the checking of the husband and wife duo the cops recovered 50g of Heroin.
The apprehended narco suppliers were identified as Harpreet Singh s/o Satnam Singh and his wife Arshdeep Kour Chavan road,Guru Nagar of Bariwala in Punjab.
A case FIR 37/2024 u/s 8/22/29 of the NDPS act was registered at Vijaypur police station.
