Poonch, Feb 28, 2025– A relentless search and rescue operation was carried out today by DySP Hqrs Poonch Sh Neeraj Sharma , SHO PS Poonch Insp Rashad , and their team following a tragic accident in which a Xylo vehicle skidded off the road and plunged into the Poonch River near Kalai, Poonch.

The operation spanned from Kalai to Sher-e-Kashmir Bridge and further downstream to Khari Karmara, as police teams worked tirelessly to locate and rescue the missing persons. Despite challenging conditions, the dedicated efforts of the police personnel remained unwavering in their mission to save lives and provide relief to the affected families.

The search and rescue operation will continue in the coming days until all missing persons are accounted for. Poonch Police remains committed to its duty of public service and ensuring the safety of all citizens.
