Three key members of the Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) switched to the Congress party in Jammu on Tuesday, according to media reports.
Those who joined the Congress party include DPAP Ramban district general secretary Fareed Ahmad Malik, tehsil president Ramsoo Mohd Nasir Sheikh, and Abdul Latif Malik.
The new members were warmly welcomed into the party fold by Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee president Vikar Rasool Wani.
“Congress believes in strengthening the people and is committed to equitable development of Jammu and Kashmir,” Wani said.
