Several Congress party workers on Monday in Jammu staged a protest against BJP and the central govt agencies, which they claim have been used against opposition parties to stop their election participation.

The Congress party workers along with senior local party leaders were seen marching forward towards the BJP headquarters at Trikuta Nagar, Jammu while the J&K police were pushing them backwards restricting their movement during the protest.

Speaking to the media, ICC in-charge J&K affairs Bharatsinh Solanki, said, “BJP has understood that they will be defeated in elections and due to this reason, they’re mulling over how to perturbed opposition faction that’s why they’re using ED,CBI and revenue department. The central govt has slapped Congress with 3600 crore notice so that the party which is playing a vital part in the INDIA alliance cannot do election campaign, its party workers can’t move freely”.

He added, “They have frozen Congress party’s bank accounts and they are putting efforts  against our party so that we can’t work in the elections. The NDA is frustrated now and you will see the people of  J&K will give a solid reply to them. They don’t work for development neither for the people. They’re supporting few corporates and are making them super rich by diverting public money to them”.

He said further, “The people wanted a change and new govt in power which can work for the public and the incumbent regime is scared that the Congress can replace them that’s why they’re trying to stop Congress”.

Responding to a media query about BJP’s 2024 Gameplan to win 400+ seats, Solanki, added,”You will see that the Congress will uproot BJP in J&K and here Congress will achieve victory in  elections”.
