Supports peoples’ demand for strengthening of security network, adequate ex gratia to families of victims
Congress has appealed to people in Rajpuri to observe peaceful bandh against the cowardly attack of terrorists at Dangri near Rajouri, yesterday in which four precious lives have been martyred while several others injured.
În a bandh call issued by JKPCC Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma(Ex-MLC) and District President Shabir Ahmed Khan Ex-Minister , on behalf of the party, appealed the people to jointly send a strong message to Pakistan &terrorists that their nefarious designs shall not be tolerated.
Terming the incident as very serious the Congress expressed great concern over the selective and targetted attack on the minority community after a gap of over two decades, which is nefarious design and Government will have to wake up to deal with the situation.
The incident belies the claims of the govt and the security heads regarding the ground situation. The party extended full support to the police & security forces to firmly deal with terrorism and save innocent lives in future. The army and security agencies have to further gear up their operations to control the deteriorating situation and attempts to revive militancy in Rajouri poonch, they said while fully supporting the demand of agitating people for strengthening the security network in villages.
The LG governor should visit the area and listen to the voice of people and meet their demands.
Meanwhile a team of Senior JKPCC Leaders from Jammu is on way to express sympathies with the families of victims and with the injured and participate in the People’s protest and take part in the funeral of the victims.
