Civic Action Programmes for Specially-abled and Sports Cricket Clubs held in Kupwara

District Police Kupwara under the aegis of Jammu and Kashmir Police’s Civic Action Programme today held a essential aids and Cricket Kit distribution events in the District Police Lines Kupwara.

As a part of series of programmes held by District Police Kupwara under the aegis of Civic Action Programme of Jammu and Kashmir Police , this programme was conducted to distribute essential aids to specially-abled persons and Cricket Kits to local cricket clubs of the district . The programme was presided over and attended by SSP Kupwara Yougal Manhas among other officers of the district.

SSP Kupwara on the sidelines of the function told that this programme has been conducted to extend helping hand to specially abled persons to uplift their morale.He further told that Cricket Kits were also distributed to engange the youth of the district towards sports activities rather than falling prey to other social evils including drug abuse. He thanked all the participants who were present at the occasion.

At the end of the programme Syeed Mujahid-ul-Haq, DySP DAR Kupwara gave vote of thanks to the audience present there, which was followed by distribution ceremony. SSP Kupwara along with ASP Kupwara Farhat Geelani,DySP PC Kupwara Ajaz Ahmad and DySP Hqr Kupwara Mohd Rafi distributed various essential aids among the the specially abled persons which included wheel chairs,Smartphones to blind persons and crutches.Furthermore Cricket Kits were also distributed among 10 Cricket Clubs from various areas including Keran, Machil , Sogam of the District.
