Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann tells protesting Punjab employees to join work by 2pm today or face action

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has appealed to all the officials/employees of the state government who are on strike to join their respective duties by 2 pm on Wednesday; otherwise strict action will be taken against them.

In an official letter to the Chief Secretary VK Janjua, he has asked him to suspend all those officials/employees who do not join their duties by the given time framework.

He said that the officials/employees were trying to blackmail the state government by exerting pressure and protecting the corrupt. This action of employees is “blackmailing and arm twisting”, he said.

“We have zero tolerance to corruption”, he said while adding that the strike could not be tolerated by any responsible government.
