Chandrayan-3 is scheduled to make a historic landing on the moon tomorrow

Chandrayan-3 to create history: The final stages of Chandrayaan-3’s preparation for a Moon landing have just begun. As the landing approach starts on August 23 at 5:45 pm, the Indian spacecraft is prepared to make history.

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) said on Monday that they will host a live broadcast of the landing process, which will start at 5.20 pm on the same day as the historic touchdown set for tomorrow at 6.04 pm. The livestreaming URL has also been disseminated and can be found on ISRO’s official website.

The space agency claimed that everything is operating smoothly and that all systems are being checked on a daily basis.

After the Chandrayaan-2 orbiter and the Vikram lander made official contact, the countdown to the lander’s landing on the lunar surface began.

The soft landing of Chandrayaan-3 may be postponed till August 27 if weather conditions are unfavourable for the spacecraft to touch down on the Moon, according to a previous Isro scientist.

According to the timeline, the mooncraft will land on August 23, according to Nilesh M. Desai, Director of the Space Applications Centre-Isro in Ahmedabad.

“On August 23, two hours before Chandrayaan-3 lands on the Moon, we will take a decision on whether or not it will be appropriate to land it at that time based on the health of the lander module and the conditions on the Moon. In case, if any factor appears to be not favourable, then we will land the module on the Moon on August 27. No problem should occur and we will be able to land the module on August 23,” Nilesh said.
