To discuss the issues related to Education and other sectors, Chairperson District Development Council Udhampur Lal Chand chaired a meeting of officers of the Education Department in his office Chamber, here today.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Joginder Singh Jasrotia; Chief Education Officer, Geetu Bangotra, ZEOs, ZEPOs and concerned cluster heads attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the Chairman DDC, Udhampur also telephonically contacted to Director School Education, Jammu, to resolve various issues, including the posting of 44 Masters in District Udhampur who were transferred but not relieved from their place of posting due to certain reasons and the adjustment of newly promoted masters after their DPC.
In the meeting, the DDC chairman raised the issue of rationalization of Teaching Staff projected by numerous deputations and also during his recent visits to schools, including GHS Hartaryan, GHS Kalta, and GHS Sudhmahadev where the student-teacher ratio was not appropriate as per rules and it was found that some clusters of teachers are placed where few students are available, and vice versa.
During the meeting, several other issues were also discussed which included shifting of classes from old building GHS Gandala to newly constructed building, Fair selection of AAYAs after proper scrutiny, cluster Re-organisation, Handover/takeover of completed buildings of schools under any scheme.
While addressing the meeting, the DDC Chairman directed all the officers to work with utmost dedication and zeal and resolve all the issues pertaining to their respective departments on priority basis. The CEO was directed to raise the education level in all educational institutions in the district.
